About PurimInShushan

PurimInShushan is a cultural project that tells the Purim story with the depth, warmth, and sophistication it deserves — rooted in the Megillah, framed by Persian heritage, and designed for anyone who believes ancient stories still have something to say.

The Megillah is the only book of the Hebrew Bible set entirely in exile, in a foreign capital, within a court where Jewish survival required hiddenness, timing, and an almost preternatural trust that reversals come when they are meant to. The story of Purim is not triumphalist. It is the story of people navigating real danger with grace, courage, and faith that things can invert at the right moment.

We are not building propaganda. We are building a bridge to a civilization that produced one of history's greatest stories — and showing it with beauty.

The Cyrus Standard

Every piece of content, every game interaction, every email must pass the Cyrus Test: “Would Cyrus the Great — known for his proclamations of dignity, his freeing of captive peoples, and his philosophy of governance by respect rather than domination — be comfortable lending his name to this sentence?”

If the answer is not a clear yes, it does not ship.
